*This was a below average BBQ experience. I ordered the dinner plate with Brisket. No smoke flavor in the Brisket - not bad if you like pot roast. I tried some of the ribs and they tasted like they were boiled in water. Where's the smoke flavor?? The beans were served in their usual small portions and lacked flavor. The sauce was weak and runny. Fries were ok. Great service as you could order at the counter. Big portions and reasonable prices. If you like a lot of food for cheap and don't care how it tastes, this is the place to go.

*Wyandot was not one of my favorites. The service was great. We had our food in two minutes and the folks were pretty friendly. My sandwich was gritty and there was no taste to the sauce. The fries were okay. I am just not a fan of Wyandot BBQ. I was not impressed with the one in KCK and not impressed with the Overland Park restaurant.

*Wyndotte BBQ reminded me of the add on TV where they ask people if they could think of anything nice to say about their old bank. Well in this case the portions and service were good but I go to a BBQ place for the taste, tenderness of the meat, how well it was smoked and how much I liked the sauce. With those standards in mind I did not like it. Parts of the ribs were so tough I would have had to use my pocketknife to cut it. I ordered the mixed plate and the portions were above average. However I thought for a long time if it would be worth taking what I had not eaten home. I did make it back to the office but have not decided if I would eat it after taking it home. Let me conclude by saying I would not go back!

*Wyandot 2 BBQ seems to do a good business, and has been at that location for a long time (at least in BBQ joint terms, a long time), but I may have gone there for the last time.  Service was very quick, and not unfriendly as was the case at the State Avenue store (I know there is no connection anymore).  My brisket sandwich was just acceptable--it was a good portion, but it was not smoked, had to have sauce, and it was chewy (good for my teeth, perhaps).  The beans were far too green-pepper for my taste.  And the sauce was pretty nondescript.  All in all, unimpressive.

*I was hungry and ready for a good meal.  It was not what I needed.  The ribs were overcooked and tasteless.  The sauce was not to my liking so it gave me no help.  The service is quick and good.  The food was just not up to KC's standards.  I would not go back.
