*This is a little place in a strip mall that has a pleasant interior if the music isn't too loud. It reminded me of a sub shop kind of place.  I ordered the mixed plate that came with two pork ribs and sliced meat. I chose turkey and thought it was no better than what I could get at the grocery store deli. The ribs were OK . My side order was beans and they were barely warm so the beans were almost too hard. It's too bad because their flavor was sweet and smoky and I liked it. I tasted a piece of the beef brisket and it was delicious. I wish I had ordered it instead.

*I was very disappointed with Timbers. I ordered 2 ribs and turkey which came with a side. It cost $10, which seemed high for the amount of meat that I received. I was not happy with the ribs because there was not much meat on them and the turkey was the pressed meat that we could have ordered from the grocery store. It was also cold. The cole slaw was average. I heard that the brisket was good, but don't know that I would make another trip just to have the brisket. The beans were good but as everyone said, they were cold.

*Maybe they were not prepared for such a large group to come in at once. But they did a good job getting us through there. I like the atmosphere and how friendly they were and that they had all those sauces! I loved the beans (mine were warm). But, the burnt ends were fatty (not that large of a portion on the bun; the fries were cold and too salty (a huge portion) and I did not care for the pulled pork (but it was a huge portion). The worst part for me, however, was their own sauce. I really really couldn't believe the sauce....Good thing for me I asked for a sample cup before I put it all over my food.

*Timbers was pretty good. I had the ribs and ham platter with baked beans. The ribs were okay, but I didn't really like the sauce. The beans were excellent. This is a new restaurant in KC and they are opening a few more in the city. If I went back, I would probably try some of their sandwiches. I liked the atmosphere. They also have several sauces you can use on your food including their own sauce.

*A pre-packaged BBQ place. Average but not a place I would go back to.

*Nice find up in Bonner Springs. The place sits on the West side of K7 and is situated in a strip mall. I ordered a Pulled Pork Sandwich and a side of Beans. The Sandwich was $5.25 and they offer a side + a drink for an extra $1.99. Food orders are made at the counter and that is the best way to run a BBQ operation. The sandwich had a least a half pound of Pulled Pork stacked high and wide. It had a smoky flavor to it but it could have used just a little bit more. It was still a good sandwich -  very lean and moist. The Beans were served in a man-sized portion (finally) and were excellent. They may be among the best Beans in KC. The Timber's sauce was middle of the road. They have a number of other brands of sauces you can order, but they charge you a .50 upgrade. I'd probably go that route next time. Highest marks for portions and value. Nice BBQ atmosphere - albeit a strip-mall-type setup. I'd go back again. I ate so much that I skipped supper!

*The burnt ends were full of fat and not burnt. The beans were mediocre at best. Fries had a seasoned salt on them – too much of it – and they were cold. I had the Timbers sauce – it is spicy and not especially good. They did have a choice of other sauces which is a good thing. The service was slow – they didn’t seem at all prepared for 13 of us coming in at once.

*This is a small chain restaurant with decent food. The house sauce is poor. The ribs were tender, but bland.
