Fantastic ribs. We had intended to check out a
place on burlington that was featured in the KC
Star. It was out of business, so we went around
the corner to the tried and true Smoking Guns
BBQ. The lunch regular lunch special was a good
price and tasty, but I needed to order more
food. The ribs were very good with a great rub
and smoky flavor.

Regular brisket sandwich lunch special was a
good deal.

Ribs were good but a little to salty for my
taste. Portions and value were very good. I
received 4 ribs and one side and a soft drink
for $6.95.

I had the 3-piece spare ribs w/beans. The rub on
the ribs was a little spicy for my taste, but
the meat was good. The service was quick and
efficient.

The service was quick with a walk-up counter and
fast delivery to the table. My brisket was
sliced a little too thin and it seemed rather
old. I liked the sauce choices of mild or
regular. I ordered the slaw as a side. It was
the oil and vinegar style and was pretty good.
Glenn shared the onion rings and they were also
good. The fast efficient service and clean,
friendly atmosphere help make up for the
disappointing brisket.

It was nice to have a good fall back position so
close.

Turkey and pork were very good; burnt ends too
salty; baby backs had no meat but great flavor;
liked the beans and the broccoli casserole and
the onion rings were GREAT. Wow it sounds like I
had a lot of food. In reality, I was sampling.

I had a Brisket sandwich and the brisket was on
the dry side. The brisket had a good amount of
smoke flavor but it was just on the dry side. It
needed some sauce to cover the dryness. Sauce
was good though and it came in a couple of
versions. Beans were OK. Most of the folks were
eating ribs on this day and I did not have a
chance to try one. Nice atmosphere and excellent
service - perhaps one of the few 10's I've given
for service! You order at the counter (ideal
option) and they brought out the food to your
table before you have a chance to fill your
drink. Hard to top that!
