*Ricky's Pit was a good stop on our BBQ circuit. I ordered the combo sandwich with fries and beans.  The beans were excellent and right up there with Jack Stack's.  They had outstanding flavor and chunks of meat.  The combo sandwich was good -- beef and pork were tender and good flavor.  The fries were average.  The sauce had a good "kick" to it but it was a little too runny for me.  The portions and value were  OK although I would have liked more fries and a bigger sandwich for the price ($8.50 + tip).  Our waitress was very friendly and we got our food quickly.  She was nice enough to provide separate checks and even took our picture afterwards.  It was nice to be able to watch the NCAA games while we ate.  I would go back to Ricky's Pit if I was in the KCK area.

*I had a good meal at Ricky’s. My ham sandwich was delicious and the fries and beans were very good. I almost enjoyed this combination as much as OK Joes. The place was real nice and very clean. We had good service and hot food. Jerry, Alan and Glenn came over from the NAIA tourney and we talked a little March Madness. GO Jayhawks!! I would highly recommend Ricky’s even though Bill Clinton says this is his favorite place for BBQ in KC.

*Ricky's was average Bar B Q with excellent service. The ribs were tough and below average. It was a long drive even from the NAIA tournament. I might go again to see if the ribs I received were typical of the ribs served the day we were there. Only six of us were there to evaluate the food.

*Good BBQ beans!!!!!!!!
