*This is the first BBQ place I've been to where we ordered either "by the pound" or split sandwiches with over a pound of meat on them.  I did not taste a smokiness in the brisket I ordered.  I was very disappointed in the sauce which had a strong molasses/soy sauce kind of flavor to it.  The beans were  flavorful and the best item I tried.

*Sweet fries with sugar?  A little different.  Sauce was too dark for my taste.  Service was very good!

*Perry Fosters was okay.  I had a combo ham/beef combo sandwich which I shared with Bruce.  There was no BBQ flavor in the meat and it was pretty bland.  The sauce was okay but it didn't help make the sandwich taste better.  I liked the fries and beans.  The service was pretty good.  The restaurant is a converted Hooters.  I have eaten at Perry Fosters in Warrensburg and my meal there was much better then this location.

*Large Portions

*Strange tasting sauce

*The beans and coleslaw were great.  The meat was tough and the sauce quite strange.  Service was just OK and the atmosphere quite unmemorable.  I'd only go back if I were in the area and hungry for good beans!

*$8.00 sandwich was more than enough for two, but the meat was not especially tasty or tender.  Sweet potato fries came with sugar on them?!?!  I tasted the beans and they were a pleasant surprise with a hint of jalapeno.  Sauce was like no BBQ I'd every tasted - seemed almost pure molasses to me.  Service was good for such a large group.  I wouldn't return or recommend.

*I had a brisket sandwich this afternoon.  They charge $10.00 for the sandwich and at first glance, it strikes you as an outrageous price.  However, the sandwich is served up with a pound of meat so I split it with a fellow GAS member.  This sandwich is huge.  The brisket was not real lean - some fatty pieces mixed in and it lacked the smoke flavor I was hoping for.  I also split a pint of beans and they were a decent mix.  Nice flavor and just the right zing.  They were served up in a two pint cup so we had a manly serving today.  Actually we split the 2 pints between four people.  The fries were pretty good and had the skins on them.  Best way to serve em.  The sauce was really disappointing.  Wow, what happened there?  The most unusual mix I had ever experienced.  Tasted like molasses.  You can't have _mo_lasses till you've had lasses!  Service was pretty good and a decent atmosphere.  Get more smoke in the meat, cut out the fat, and get a new sauce recipe.  Those 3 changes would make this a great BBQ experience.

*Sauce was only average and the meat was a little tough.  The sweet fries were outstanding with a little sugar on them.  The beans were above average and the service was excellent.

*I enjoyed it.  The meat was tender on my huge sandwich.  It was a bit pricey for BBQ.  The sauce was among the worst I have had...very odd flavor.  Maybe it is an acquired taste.  Decent lunch.  Not worth repeating the long drive.
