*Joe's (South) did not disappoint. This is a great new location for those of us in southern Johnson County and I'll be back many times.  The Z-Man sandwich, fries and beans were all great.  And I was impressed by the quick service at the busy lunch time.

*I had pulled pork which tasted awesome but I asked for it on white and I got very little meat.

*I am ashamed to say this was my first trip to Oklahoma Joe's.  Never having eaten at "the little place in the gas-station" before, I came with high expectations.  For me, the experience left me with the same feeling you get after seeing a much-hyped summer block-buster movie that you've been waiting several months to see.  I know it was good, real good in fact, but I'm left feeling empty (metaphorically) inside- like I was somehow let down.  Enough about "feelings" though, how was everything?  The atmosphere was about as BBQ as you can get in suburban Olathe.  The service was outstanding.  There was a large line when we arrived and yet I ordered and received my food very efficiently.  The price was good but not great for a sandwich and one side lunch deal- no complaints there.  I had the Oklahoma Joe's specialty, pulled pork sandwich on wheat with a side of beans.  The beans for me were not bad, but different than what I like in beans.  What I mean is the quality was good, I could tell the taste was appealing, but they are trying to go for a unique flavor that I just don't like in beans- call me a traditionalist.  The sandwich meat was excellent, moist, tender, plentiful- but like many things in life, my pre-formed notions and expectations hindered my ability to simply experience the sandwich at a perceptual, real level.  So in conclusion, writing a sentence I never thought I would for a GAS review, try not to let one of the fundamental flaws of the human existence according to Buddhist metaphysical beliefs impact your enjoyment of this wonderful BBQ joint.

*The pulled pork is, as always, excellent.  I am not crazy about black beans in the BBQ beans, but, then, I am not crazy about black beans, period.  Next time I will try the brisquet, and there will surely be a next time.

*Love the "Z Man" sandwich and glad that OK Joe's is right down the street so I can indulge more often.  Terrific, tender brisket adn great side of slaw.  They kept the counter service, but I miss the gas pumps and convenience store atmosphere of the original location.  Still worth battling the traffic on Strange Line Road to eat there.

*It's great to have Oklahoma Joes in Olathe.  The food was just as good as their original location and the service was quick.  My brisket sandwich was lean and flavorful.  The fries are fabulous with a special seasoning. Dick even traded me some fries for a few beans.  This place was hoppin' and the wait staff was very attentive.  It's so close to JCCC that it's a new/old favorite.

*Wonderful food, good price, great location - nice and clean, but not too "Johnson County" for atmosphere. The Z-Man sandwich is tasty, filling and unique.

*I had the one half chicken and one side for $ 6.75 which was a very good value. I do not get chicken often but there chicken is very good. I have been there once before and it is worth the trip and so much closer than the original.

*Very good sauce.  The pork sandwich was excellent.

*OK Joe's is probably the closest thing to being a 10 as there is in KC. It's the best BBQ in town. Listen to me now and believe me later. The Pulled Pork is everything you look for in Pulled Pork. Actually, you have to look for Pulled Pork in KC as not many places offer it. The fries are world class. Cooked to perfection with the skins and served in a heaping bag. Enough for two. I really like the beans - great flavor and decent sized portions. The service at OK Joe's is THE model to serve BBQ. You order at the counter and bring your food to the table. Self serve drinks. NIce atmosphere and much better than their original location. Ok, so it is missing the convenience store and liquor store but the new one is near the Tractor Supply Company. This place looks to be a Gold Mine. Olathe now has a serious contender in the KC BBQ market.

*What can I say?  It is simply Kansas City's best, day in day out, up and down the entire menu.  There is none better.  This new place brought all the best to Olathe and expanded to make more seating.  Ribs were the best I have had in quite awhile.
