*Midwest BBQ was a nice
surprise today. Never heard of the
place until this week and they have
been there for the past 4 years. I
had a brisket sandwich on a bun and
it came with fries. I also ordered a
side of beans. The brisket I
received was smokey flavored, lean
and very tender. A couple of my
colleagues had ordered the same
sandwich but their brisket was more
fatty than mine. The beans were
served up in a man sized (8 oz.)
serving - finally! The beans had a
lot of meat chunks mixed in and they
were very tasty - perhaps the best
I've had in awhile. Fries were okay
and the service was just fine. You
can order at the counter and that's
the way it should be at a BBQ joint.
Not too expensive and good portions.
I'd go back there again and would
recommend you try
Midwest BBQ.
I had
the beef brisket sandwich with a
side of fries. The brisket was very
tender and had an excellent "smoke"
taste. The sauce was great!
I am
in the minority in my rating this
time for sure; all but two of us had
very good, tasty beef, but mine was
VERY fatty which made the otherwise
good experience, not worth it. I
made the sacrifice for the rest of
our group this time. I loved the
beans, and if I am ever convinced
that I wouldn’t get another fat
sandwich, I would return.
This
was a great find. It is some of the
best smoked meat I have had in
sometime. The beans were very meaty
and tasty. The burnt ends were
smoky, crunchy, bits just like I
like them.
Stine
drove off and left Dave. We will
have to make it up to him by taking
him back here later.
A
little better than average, but it
would be to far to go back. The day
was nice and as always the company
was worth the drive.
