*The fries were excellent. As is the case in most
eating establishments the non-smoking area is small compared to the smoking
area. Had to smell smoke while eating. A round table would have been better
for conversation. Strawberry instead of cream was ok. Where else
can you go to be interviewed by the press and have Brett take pictures
while you eat.
*Great Fries!
*Good Food! Enjoyed having Peggy and Brett with
the group. Good portions on the fries and beans. Sauce was
good. Service was a little poor but they were short two people.
I thought they did a good job with the help that was there. Happy
Anniversary GAS!
*Good food. Service - not so good!
Strip malls shouldn't be allowed to host BBQ Joints. Where's the
atmosphere?
*Although the service seemed slow, the staff was shorthanded and did get the food to us fairly soon. Beans were great
and in a chili-sized bowl, too. The combo sandwich
was good with a healthy portion of both meats. The sauce was o.k.
The atmosphere wasn't anything to write home about except for the camaraderie
at our table. Hope the pictures come out since we didn't bring our
camera.
*Massive portions. Tasty beans. Fries were enough
for three. Great value. Not much atmosphere Can't do much with
a strip mall location. Service was bad. They were short staffed on this
day. Big meal - I think I'll skip dinner tonight. Liked the
skins on the fries.
*The beans were fabulous -- bits of meat and peppers;
not too hot; just the right level of ZIP. Same ZIP on the sauce,
but could have been a little bit thicker. Sandwich was very good. Good portion, tasty,
lean, tender. The waitress mentioned that today they were shorthanded
which may explain the sluggish service. A memorable GAS feast, nonetheless.
*The BBQ sauce seemed watered down and runny.
Overall, there was not much spice in anything. It was pretty uneventful,
yet expected for a strip mall joint.
*I like the idea of having a professional photographer. |
