*Boyd's who???? (We attempted to go again to Boyd's Ribtip house.
I think they have closed) Laura managed to serve moist beef without (it) being fat.
Beans were cold!!!!
*The best sandwich I've had to date.(Jeffrey...when have we heard that
before?) The turkey had a nice smoked flavor along with some crispy edges.
Needed a fork lift to pick this thing up. Wow! The sauce was outta sight.
Had a serious kick to it. They did not have any of their hot sauce that
day. Probably a good thing. Beans and fries were ok. The owner came out
and gave us some T cakes for dessert - on the house. Very good. Be sure
to order some. Small, friendly place - maybe 8-9 tables. Most folks were
there for takeout. Probably would not go there at night. Rough neighborhood.
*What a find this place was -- a pleasant surprise on our BBQ quest!
The sauce and sandwich were outstanding. The rich and spicy sauce
was the best I've had! Wish I could have taken home a few bottles.
The sandwich rivaled LC's -- the beef & ham combo was lean, moist,
and piled high. The fries were good but the beans were fair.
The service was friendly and personable -- a special thanks to Rosie (?)
for the complimentary Tea Cakes. Laura's won't be a secret
for long -- a nice addition to the KC BBQ scene.
*One of the best in Kansas City! The service was outstanding. Loved the free T-cookies.
*friendly folk in a very seedy looking establishment.
*A truly great place to eat. Beans were just ok. Beef sandwich
was great! Sauce was a little hot, but very good. I had not heard of this place before. It was a very nice surprise.
I will definately go back to Laura's BBQ! |
