G.A.S. BARBECUE |
Arthur Bryant's Barbeque
*Way too much money. Sauce was so hot; it covered up the flavor of the food. *I liked our visit to Arthur's. It was a nice place and plenty of room for seating. I had a ham sandwich and fries and it was excellent. The ham had a good BBQ taste to it and it was huge. I couldn't eat all of it and brought it home. I am starting to like the gritty BBQ sauce and it tasted good on my fries and sandwich. The service was good and everyone seemed real friendly. If you are planning to attend the NASCAR races or go to Cabelas or Nebraska Furniture Mart, this would be a good place for BBQ. *I had a special that was pulled pork, baked beans and cole slaw that was layered. I should have just got the basic sandwich but this special included fries for $8.95. The problem was that there was not much meat and it was not very good and cold because of the slaw. I understand that the brisket was fine. I did not care for their original sauce which was very watery and not sweet. I did like their other sauce which was thicker and had a more sweet taste and a strong taste of basil. I would be willing to go back again and try their brisket or the ham which received good reviews from our group, but the pulled pork and the burnt ends would not be worth the trip ever. *I have
been to the original Bryant's location twice in the past month and had a great
meal both times. This trip to the new one out at the race track was
terrible. The folks in our small group who got sliced meat seemed to like
it fine. The "burnt ends" I ordered were more like stew meat in
bbq soup. It was terrible. The beans and fries were ok, but all in
all...terrible. Nice set-up, good service, friendly folks, but they need
to look at what they are serving there. For my money, I will keep making
the trip down to where it all started. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
