Verbatim Comments:

*Lousy beans - like right out of a pork & beans can.  Beef sandwich was ok - nice portions - but had no flavor. Regular fries were good.  Atmosphere was on a level with a Dairy Queen.

*I had enough food but it was only warm.  Not much to say.....pretty blah......

*The "Big Q" was not that good. My ham sandwich was something like my mother would put in my lunch bucket and say "Oh by the way, here is some BBQ sauce to make your sandwich taste better" The fries were good and the beans were nasty! The best thing on the menu for me was the onion rings which I borrowed from Marilyn. The prices were reasonable and I thought the service was good, but I probably won't visit again.

*I would not go back!

*Their sandwich beef was tender but no smoke flavor. Their sandwich pork was dry. Their spicy fries and onion rings were good and better than average, and their regular fries were average. The sauce had a tangy sweet taste that was not great but not awful. Their beans were not good at all. Their cole slaw was very good and they had homemade pies which we did not try, but looked good. They had a more intense tangy flavor of the sauce and were too sweet. We didn't want to take home the extras. It is a small restaurant cafe with a truck-stop type atmosphere.

*Meat was lean, plentiful, but not smoked.  Beans suffered from overpowering tomato syndrome (How's that for an anti-napkins, review???)-- they were very disappointing.  I would not return.

*There was something missing in this lunch at the Big Q BBQ - smoke flavor in the meat! I had a good sandwich if you like Pork Roast. There appeared to be a woodpile  out in back of the place but I could swear that the smoker was not going on this day. Maybe the neighbors complained of the smoke as the Big Q sits right in what looks to be a residential neighborhood. Actually, there was more smoke in the eating area than there was in the meat. I can't remember the last time I ate in a public place next to a bunch of guys that were smoking like chimneys. There did not appear to be a non-smoking area in this refurbished Dairy Queen. The beans were right out of a can, sauce was average along with the fries. Portions were big and prices low. Those two factors were not enough to save this outing. Maybe just an off day. Waitresses were great.
