*Big Bubba’s has improved quite a bit since our last visit several years ago. I got the 4 rib platter with a side of beans for $8.  I got 4 big ribs and a good side portion of beans – so I was pleased with the portion size. The ribs were a little sweet for my liking but tender and good smoke flavor. The beans were OK – not the best but not the worst. The service was very friendly and fast – always like to order at the counter rather than be waited on. Overall I was pleased with the visit and would go back.

*Big Bubba's Barbecue is one of the best barbecue joint in Olathe. I enjoy eating his consistently great ribs which are rubbed and caramelized with his secret sugary concoction. Unfortunately, the occasional rib is a little too sweet in sections. He is perhaps the most innovative barbecue owner in Kansas City with his patented software that monitors his smoking process and behind-the-counter-business operation. Bubba has even developed mild and hot low-carb barbecue sauces. Wow, is this guy entrepreneurial or what? I have always enjoyed eating at Big Bubba's. Go to Big Bubba's for some great cue.

*This is a walk-up and order kind of place with quick service. The smoker is outside the front door and can be tasted in the meat. My brisket sandwich had good, smoky flavor. I ordered "smoky vegetables" which turned out to be cauliflower, green beans, carrots, onions and broccoli in a buttery sauce with some red pepper. I liked them and would get them again. They are put in a pot and cooked out in the smoker. They also have a steak soup made with chunks of brisket, corn, green beans, and onions. It's more like a stew than a soup. We had it for dinner and it was a hit. I'll go back with my family and try the huge crinkle fries since Mike forgot to give me one to try.

*Beans are great! I got the small sandwich and it was small, but good. They have low-carb sauce – it was good and what a good idea. I like the décor of this place - western/country, not overly cute. I didn't try the steak soup, but it looked great - a good reason to go back.

*I really like the sweet sauce. The ribs were tasty but somewhat tough on the ends. The fries were above average. I would certainly go there again. The glaze on the ribs added to how appealing they were. I have had ribs there before and they were tenderer than the ones today.

*I was pleasantly surprised by Big Bubba's. I had driven by many times and never stopped because it looked so small. It is quaint, but the ribs were great and the fries were the best that I have eaten. They were very fast and friendly when we ordered. Their computerized system for smoking was interesting as well. I had the 4 rib dinner and a drink which included fries and a lot of meat on the ribs for around $9. It was well worth the trip and I would definitely go there again.

*Great food for a good price. I had the large brisket sandwich and fries. The brisket was very tender with a great taste. The fries...what can I say other than umm, umm, good.

*The smoked vegetables were very good as well.
