*I liked the flavor of the
ribs. They had an additional glaze that was caramelized with a brown sugar
taste. The beans were average. I did not have a chance to sample anything else.
The restaurant was not busy during the lunch hour and we were about the only
table in the one dining area. It is a large a clean restaurant, especially for
bar-b-que restaurants. The waitress was friendly and helpful. She did have a
hard time with understanding how much change to give back, but I think it was
she was young. I would probably go back to sample other things and have their
ribs again.
*They had creme soda. The ribs were above average a little sweet but the meat on
the ends were a little tough. Beans were tasty but somewhat dry. I put some
sauce on the beans. Nothing out of the ordinary. The sauce was above average. I
would go back and try the sandwiches.
*the ribs were good, but i was still hungry at the end of the meal.
*Our trip to Big Bubba's #2 was a good outing. I got the 4 rib dinner and I
was pleased with my choice. The ribs were excellent - they
were tender, had a good smoked flavor, and had a sweet "glaze".
You'll especially like them if you like your ribs and sauce sweet. I liked
the fries too - they were unique -- seasoned, crinkle cut fries and a
pretty good portion. Overall, I
gave it high ratings and I enjoyed the atmosphere at this location better than
the Olathe Big Bubba's.
*This
was our look at the second location for Big Bubba's. We rated the first
one years ago. This time our whole group had the rib dinner and I was very
impressed. They were very tender and tasty. They added a
post-smoking glaze that was quite sweet, but good. This place is a good
sit-down restaurant with waited tables that even has live music in the evenings.
I would recommend it. |
