*I got the daily special – regular-size sandwich, beans and drink for 6.95 which includes tax. Such a deal! The only negative was parking which may be a problem during rush hours.
*The new K&M was excellent. I had a great ham sandwich! I got the small sandwich and fries. The ham had a bbq taste and there was PLENTY of meat for a small sandwich. If you get the "Killer", you would need to share it with another person. The service was good. The old restaurant is gone and they made it into a parking lot for the new place.
*1st stop at the new and improved K&M BBQ. This operation is housed in a new and much larger building. I have to admit that I'm going to miss the old building. It had a homey feel to the place. The new building, although nice, lacks some character. The parking lot lacks the space to accommodate a lunch crowd. They will need to work on finding more parking room. OK, now to the good stuff. Sandwich, side and drink for $6.95 and it may be the best deal in the ever sprawling metro area. The Brisket was heavily smoked, tender, and very lean. I had the regular sandwich and it was piled high with Brisket. The Beans were served up in a decent sized portion and had very good flavor. The fries were OK but not the best in KC. Sauce was tangy but good. Service was excellent today. Great value and very sizable portions. I love this place but I admit I'm going to miss the original building. This remains one of my favorite BBQ stops in KC and they met my expectations again today - new digs and all. Go check this place out, it's well worth the drive.

*Now I know why the parking lot was completely full! Lunch at K&M was a delightful experience. I would like to have tried a slightly more spicy, less sweet sauce, but what I got was quite serviceable. I will be back with the family soon.
*This new location of K&M kept the same great food from the original place. I had a great meal. The only gripe I have is with the ribs. They smoke them well, but the cut of ribs is so untrimmed that the meat I got was a pile of rib-type meat, no identifiable bones. They need to trim the slab and not serve the scraps as "ribs". It tasted ok, but the cut is terrible. It is one of my favorite places (for everything but ribs).
